I was lucky enough this year to get a ticket to see the acclaimed designer Bora Aksu at London Fashion Week. The collection was phenomenal, based on the 'Modern Queen' - Marie of the 19th century (granddaughter to Queen Victoria) . The collection was built up of regal silhouettes, Art Deco inspired prints and a colour palette that was strongly dominated by blues, greys and delicate whites with other outfits reflecting more vibrant mustards, golds and corals as well as glimpses of purple. The outfits were accessorised with a collection of laser cut clutches and laser etched baguette bags that Aksu had formed through a collaboration with Bracher Emden. The models also wore knitted crowns and collars created by Liria Pristine for the show, which really accentuated the outfits and maintained the regal atmosphere. It was a truly amazing show.
